The Women in Leadership Executive Forum 2019 is established to serve as a platform to discuss policy development, creation of women empowerment initiatives by women, enhancing the intervention of civil societies and the private sector, promoting advocacy and pressure groups, build awareness of business innovations that accelerate women’s empowerment, identify key actions to address the financing gap for women empowerment, the personal efforts of the attendees in empowering women in their respective industries and constituencies and sharing of ideas and provide women the opportunity to network.


This high-level Forum is a convergence of women who are leaders in government, entrepreneurs, start-ups, civil society’s and the private sectors across the various nations of Africa.

Database will be built for participants to take part in our World Congress for Young Politicians & Leaders to be held in UK.


To develop an action plan for women’ empowerment and gender equality for the youth and to assess the key and current challenges to gender equality.

To build mentor mentee relationship for participants with the introduction ‘’From woman 2 woman’’ mentorship programme. This we believe will provide adequate guidance to upcoming women leaders.

Participants will leave the event rich in knowledge and empowered.

Young Politicians & Leaders Network contributes with its committment to the UN women’s empowerment principles & Sustainable Development Goal 5. Our Women in Leadership Executive Forum events held annually in UK and Ghana will celebrate women’s achievement, while also making a call to action for accelerating gender equality and women empowerment.



The theme for WiLEF 2019 is: Advancing Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality Towards Africa’s Agenda 2063.

Gender equality and women’s empowerment are critical to reducing poverty, growing our economies and achieving sustainability.

Empowering women and advancing gender equality through the removal of systematic barriers and increasing capital can have a very positive impact.

The 1-day event will deliver sessions covering the below topics, introducing a host of influential speakers drawn from various sectors including business, entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, arts and culture, academics, social sector and government.

  1. Women in Corporate Leadership- Is there ambition in the Corporate Culture?

Closing the Ambition Gap in Africa if there is.

Women’s ambition to advance in their careers is not impacted by motherhood, as many commonly believe.

Rather, corporate cultures that fail to embrace diversity are a cause of declining ambition, according to Dispelling the Myths of the Gender ‘’Ambition Gap’’ a report issued by The Boston Consulting Group.

  2. Empowering women through financial inclusion: Barriers and way forward.

At the forum, women who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields will be presented with Women in Leadership Executive Forum 2019 Presidents award of ‘’Honoree/Honorary of Female Empowerment Award’’ and ‘’Honorary Extraordinary Woman of the Decade Award’’ for their individual contributions to youth and female political activism at the event which is expected to see more than 500 women and men from across Africa.
